Acrylic Approx. 14 " x 10" 2007 NOTES: "Cats" was created for "Charity by Numbers", an art auction to benefit The Alliance For Children’s Rights, hosted by the Corey Helford Gallery [link] Participating artists were provided a classic hand-painted, vintage paint-by-numbers painting which they then customized into something that could be called their own. I must say, the line up of participating artists was amazing. I was flattered to even be invited at all. Here's a list of some of the noteables: Mark Ryden & Marion Peck, Tim Biskup, Gary Baseman, Todd & Kathy Schorr, Camille Rose Garcia, Michael Hussar, Shag, Clayton Brothers, Shepard Fairey, Andrew Brandou, Miss Van, Paul Frank, and many many more. For this project, I intentionally mimicked the rendering style of the paint-by-numbers painting with the intention that my contribution appear seamless. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
