Acrylic and Ink on Board The PR1MARY SPACE show (as mentioned in my Journal) is my first show outside of So-Cal. Since I was showing work to an audience that has probably never seen any of my paintings outside of my website I thought it would be ok to "revisit" some of the previous ideas I am most fond of. This is my revisit of "Nostalgia" To be honest, I'm not to pleased with the way this piece came out when you compare to the original. I think it's because of the negative space, or rather, the LACK of negative space in the finished painting. I blame this on the size of the board (8" x 10"). I usually work from 11" x 14" and bigger. Don't get me wrong... I don't hate this piece, I just think it could have been a little better. |
