12" x 12" 2006 I created this painting for a "Nostradamus" themed group art show entitled "Nostradamus: 3 waves of the apocolypse" at the Copro/Nason art gallery. Like the title says, this painting was inspired by Nostrodamus' Quatrain: 09,073: Dans Fois entrez Roy ceiulee Turban: Et regnera moins euolu Saturne, Roy Turban blanc Bizance coeur ban, Sol, Mars, Mercure pres la hurne. The Blue Turban King entered into Foix, And he will reign less than an evolution of Saturn: The White Turban King Byzantium heart banished, Sun, Mars and Mercury near Aquarius. the show is on Saturday, February 4th 2006 (8pm - 1am) February 4th - March 4th, 2006 Copro/Nason Gallery 2525 Michigan Avenue T5. Santa Monica, CA 90404 [link] Daily DeviationGiven 2006-03-16When this artist was suggested to me, I spent a good amount of time being equally perplexed and amused at the juxtapositioning of themes and visual language used.
