Acrylic + Ink 2005 Here's a revisit of my painting "Southpaw" I'm really quite pleased with the "Southpaw" idea, and will probably be creating several version of the idea in the future. The genesis of the Southpaw paintings came when I noticed that my paintings were becoming harsher/bloodier. Being left handed, I felt as though I was dishing out merciless bloody punishment on my characters. So there was blood on my hands, in particularly my left one. The expression I was hoping to get across on the bears face is of "oh no. not again." |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
